Most visitors discover the Louvre from the inside. This walk reveals it from the outside, along the majestic axis that runs from the Place de la Concorde, through the Tuileries gardens and beneath the Arc du Carrousel, to the courtyard of the pyramid.

The walk, step by step
- Place de la Concorde. We meet at the foot of the obelisk: 23 meters tall and 3,300 years old, it stood before the temple of Luxor until 1836.
- The Tuileries. Catherine de' Medici laid out these gardens in 1564, for a palace that burned in 1871.
- The Arc du Carrousel. Napoleon's pink marble arch, completed in 1808, is perfectly aligned with the obelisk, the Champs-Élysées and the Grande Arche of La Défense.
- The Cour Napoléon and the pyramid. I. M. Pei's glass pyramid was inaugurated in 1989. Your guide will tell you the legend of its 666 panes, and the true count: 673.

Not included. Entry to the Louvre museum, food and drinks.

- An outdoor walk through the gardens, on flat gravel paths. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.
- The museum is not included; you may visit it at your own pace afterwards.

Do we enter the museum?
The walk is dedicated to the outside of the Louvre: the Concorde, the Tuileries, the Arc du Carrousel and the pyramid. We will be pleased to book your museum tickets for afterwards.
What do children pay?
€25 from 4 to 12 years old, and free up to 3. The route is flat and strollers are welcome.
Where exactly is the meeting point?
At the foot of the obelisk, Place de la Concorde, métro Concorde (lines 1, 8 and 12). Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.
What if we are running late?
Please send us a WhatsApp message. The group waits a few minutes at the obelisk before setting off.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time, with a full refund to the card used for payment. Within 24 hours, the booking can no longer be refunded.
