Drawn by Le Nôtre in 1667, the Champs-Élysées stretch for 1.9 kilometers, from the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais to the Étoile, where twelve avenues meet. Your guide begins in the quiet gardens of the lower avenue, which many visitors never discover, and leads you up to the Arc de Triomphe.
Climbing the Arc (284 steps, separate ticket) is not included, but your guide will gladly show you the way should you wish to go up afterwards.
The walk, step by step
- Place Clemenceau. The meeting point is the statue of General de Gaulle, between the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, both built for the World's Fair of 1900.
- The gardens of the Champs-Élysées. Chestnut trees, theaters and the Élysée Palace behind its walls: the serene half of the avenue.
- The avenue. From the Rond-Point to the Étoile: the façades, the great houses and the route of the Bastille Day parade.
- The Arc and the flame. Commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 and completed thirty years later, the Arc shelters the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, whose flame has been rekindled every evening at 6:30 since 1923.

Not included. Climbing the Arc de Triomphe (284 steps, separate ticket), food and drinks.
Good to know
- An outdoor walk on wide, flat pavements, 1.9 kilometers long. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.
- Climbing the Arc is not included. The ticket office is beneath the Arc, reached by the pedestrian tunnel.
- Groups of up to 20 people.
- The walk takes place rain or shine.

Do we climb the Arc?
The climb is not part of the tour: it involves 284 steps and a separate ticket. Your guide will show you where to buy it and how to reach the Arc safely through the tunnel.
What do children pay?
€25 from 4 to 12 years old, and free up to 3. The route is flat and strollers are welcome.
Where exactly is the meeting point?
At the statue of General de Gaulle, Place Clemenceau, métro Champs-Élysées Clemenceau (lines 1 and 13). Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.
What if we are running late?
Please send us a WhatsApp message. The group waits a few minutes at the statue before setting off.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time, with a full refund to the card used for payment. Within 24 hours, the booking can no longer be refunded.
